Several Gambit combos optimize specific traits of specific jobs. I do find Disable to be a great spell though, however you don't need a Time Mage for it. The lack of offensive magic and limited weapon choice makes Time Mage a really lackluster job. However, not all jobs work with a single Gambit combo. Better yet, Time Magic just sucks and Crossbows are okay weapons but Rods aren't as good as Staves.
